Hatfield Wick School Announces Planned Opening of Whitelands Campus
Hatfield Wick Education has announced plans to open Hatfield Wick School: Whitelands Campus in September 2026, subject to Department for Education approval.
The new specialist school will support children and young people aged 3–11 whose education has been disrupted by unmet emotional, social, or neurodevelopmental needs. The Whitelands Campus will provide a small, carefully structured setting where education is delivered alongside therapeutically informed practice, helping pupils to re-engage with learning and rebuild confidence over time.
Hatfield Wick School is part of Hatfield Wick Education, an organisation with experience in delivering integrated education and support for children who require something different from traditional mainstream provision. The school’s approach is built around CARES360®, a whole-school operating framework that brings together education, relationships, structure, and therapeutic thinking into consistent daily practice.
The Whitelands Campus has been selected for its calm, spacious environment, offering flexible indoor learning spaces alongside outdoor areas that support regulation, wellbeing, and engagement. Teaching will take place in small classes, with personalised learning pathways and clear routines designed to meet pupils where they are developmentally and emotionally.
Further information about the school’s vision, provision, and admissions process will be shared over the coming months as the project progresses.
