Admissions Process
Our admissions process is deliberately structured to ensure clarity, reassurance, and robust decision‑making.
01
Initial Enquiry
Enquiries may come via a local authority, a school, or directly from parents/carers. Initial information is reviewed to establish whether the school may be suitable.
03
Consultation and Visit
Where appropriate, meetings are held with families and professionals. Visits may be arranged to explore fit and readiness.
04
Decision Making
Admissions decisions are made collaboratively by senior staff, based on: - The child’s needs - The school’s capacity to meet those needs safely - The likely sustainability of the placement
05
Step 5: Transition Planning
If a placement is agreed, a structured transition plan is developed prior to start.
Timeframes
Timeframes vary depending on complexity and referral route, but we aim to progress decisions promptly while prioritising thoroughness and safeguarding.
Do you accept pupils without an EHCP?
Can you offer short‑term placements?
What age range do you support?
Can pupils reintegrate into mainstream education?
