Head Teachers Welcome
Welcome to Hatfield Wick School: Whitelands Campus
Our school exists because too many children are currently struggling in settings that are not designed to meet their needs. When emotional wellbeing, confidence, or safety are compromised, learning becomes difficult — regardless of ability. At Hatfield Wick, we understand that. Why is Hatfield Wick different?
Well, to put it simply, we’re building a safe place for children with SEMH needs: genuinely therapeutic, relationship-led and putting regulation first without ever lowering our ambitions. Our CARES360® framework gives us a clear, consistent way to support children who need something different from traditional education. It allows us to integrate therapeutic thinking into everyday teaching, behaviour support, and school life, rather than treating wellbeing and learning as separate priorities. You can learn more about our ethos throughout our website.
Many of our pupils will arrive having already experienced a disrupted education; it is integral that we work together to change their experience for the better. We are committed to providing a calm, structured, and ambitious learning environment where students can rebuild confidence, re-engage with education, and make meaningful progress over time.
We work closely with families and professionals, and we hold ourselves to high standards in everything we do — from safeguarding and curriculum to relationships and outcomes.
I’m looking forward to the future at Hatfield Wick and, most importantly, helping your children to thrive again.
